Most people are OK with the consequences of their actions. The gap before the consequences is shaped to our liking, in other words, the story. Living with the story is the hard part, not living up to its ending.

If you had to go to the airport and missed your flight because of a massive crash on a highway, living with the consequences of it is fairly simple.

Now, if the reason you missed the flight was that you planned poorly and could not find your passport or noticed you needed something at the last minute… Well, the tale is different, even if it led to the same conclusion.

We usually stress out because of the ending, the consequences… In work, in life, we usually go around saying. “What if this gets me fired?” When we should focus on writing the story, that is where the difference is.

So go write yours… And make it worthwhile!
